Health Workshops

PASSi is thrilled to offer 4 workshops on Alzheimer's Disease with funding from the Aetna Foundation. 

PASSi will co-sponsor a workshop with the Alzheimer's Association at Opportunities Towers on March 10th at noon.  The workshop will be held in Korean.  Free lunch for all attendees!  Come learn about the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer's and how you can help a loved one with Alzheimer's.  Please contact PASSi for more details. 

PASSi will also hold a workshop on Alzheimer's with Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia and Alzheimer's Association on March 17th at 10am.  The event will be in English with translation into Khmer.  Please contact Kunthea Konesavanh for more details at 215-572-1234.

Classes are Evenings:  5:00pm – 9:00pm
Weekend Clinical:  7:30am – 1:30pm; 7:30am – 2:00pm (Rydal Park, Jenkintown, PA 19046)

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English at a 7th grade level (English assessment will be conducted)
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • 2-Step Mantoux (PPD) test
  • Physical Exam
  • $100 Registration Fee
  • Resume
  • Personal statement (2 paragraph statement about why you want to be a Nursing Assistant)
  • Documentation that you are eligible to accept employment in the U.S.
  • Be able to stand for extensive periods, lift a minimum of 40lbs., and have full use of hands
